HBenchmark is the leading platform in Italy for data intelligence in the hospitality sector. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer highly experienced and motivated,
with a marked aptitude for problem-solving and strong adaptability to different technological contexts.

The selected person will be a key figure in Building a new technical team e
will have responsibility for maintaining, evolving and scaling HBenchmark's proprietary software,
manages and analyses large volumes of data from the hospitality sector. The role requires a
deep understanding of data-intensive environments and the ability to integrate with systems
heterogeneous.

We are looking for a professional who, starting from a solid foundation (for example in Java), is ready
to get involved and adopt the specific technologies of the project.

Main responsibilities

● Product Evolution: Maintaining and developing new functionalities for the software
HBenchmark, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

● Data Management Designing and optimising schemas and operations on MongoDB, managing
complex and high-volume data flows.

● Advanced Integrations Develop and implement integrations with management systems
accommodation facilities, using different connection methodologies (REST/SOAP APIs,
FTP, extraction from Email.

● Architecture and Best Practice Actively contribute to defining the architecture
of software and development best practices within the team.

● Monitoring and Testing Implement tests and monitor system performance
to ensure high operational reliability.

Requirements

● Proven Experience Many years of experience (at least 5 years) in the development of
Complex and scalable backend applications.

● Technical Adaptability: Solid basis in an object-oriented programming language
(e.g. Java) with a proven ability and willingness to learn and adopt quickly
new languages and technologies (e.g. Ruby, Python, Javascript).

● NoSQL database: In-depth knowledge and documented experience with
MongoDB.

● Systems Integration: Experience in integration between heterogeneous software systems
via different protocols (API, FTP, etc.).

● Versioning Excellent mastery of code versioning systems (Git).

● Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving skills, proactivity and aptitude for working both
independently and in teams.

● Communication: Good communication skills in Italian and English.

Plus Requirements

● Experience or familiarity with the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem (Azure/Power BI) for the
data management and analysis.

● Knowledge of specific languages and frameworks (e.g. Ruby, Python, Javascript/Node.js,
Spring Framework).

● Familiarity with microservice architectures and containerisation tools (Docker,
Kubernetes).

● Previous experience in data intelligence or hospitality.
