From data processed by HBenchmark for the Hoteliers Association with the support of Cortina Marketing, accommodation facilities from 4* upwards have reached nearly 93%occupancy in the last 30 days (+20.5%).
Among the preferred dates are the sell-out between December 28th and January 2nd and 85% for Epiphany.
Stefano Pirro, President of the Cortina Hoteliers Association, commented: “Foreigners are a typically high-spending audience, or at least with greater purchasing power than the average Italian, if only by virtue of favourable exchange rates for some currencies. It's clear that an increase in bookings from this type of customer boosts the performance of the high-luxury sector. However, what has been positive in recent weeks is that growth in the high-end sector has not penalised the basic segment, which also came close to a sell-out at New Year. This is thanks to many regulars, this time Italians, who chose the Queen of the Dolomites as their preferred destination for the holidays, and who now represent a guarantee.”.
