Verona has brought the opera season to a close; according to data compiled by HBenchmark from a sample of over 40 venues, figures are in line with 2023, and a bustling autumn is on the cards thanks to various trade fairs and the final performances at the Arena, such as Baglioni’s concert, which has seen an average occupancy rate of 80%.In addition to Italians, many foreign tourists visited the city during the opera season: the main groups were Germans, Spaniards, French and Americans, whilst in the province we find Chinese and Israelis. Marmomac, taking place from 24 to 27 September, has achieved an occupancy rate of 79%, rising to 81% in the Municipality of Verona.

The Veneto side of Lake Garda ended August on a par with 2023 and has already achieved an occupancy rate of almost 80% for the first few weeks of September, although last-minute bookings are expected to come in around the time of the Bardolino Grape Festival and the Flag Festival in Germany on 3 October.

An interesting trend is the ever-increasing presence of tourism from Eastern Europe, particularly from Poland.
