HBenchmark data’Federated Regional Tourism Observatory a first assessment of the Veneto summer season is being drawn, with hotel occupancy in line with that of 2025, a record year for regional tourism. The picture also confirms a growing trend towards open-air holidays and experiences in contact with nature.
The details for the first two summer months by cluster:
- Sea: Hotel occupancy in July was slightly lower than in the same month of 2025; following a weaker June, campsites recovered in July, exceeding 90% for the whole month, with forecasts indicating stability until mid-August.
- Lake: the hotel sector is maintaining an occupancy rate of between 75% and 80% for the entire two-month period, in line with 2025; campsites recorded occupancy rates of between 80% and 90% in June–July, with bookings above 70% until 31 August.
- Mountain: June 2026 exceeds the same month in 2025, whilst July is slightly below; overall, the two-month period ranges between 60% and 70%, with bookings for mid-August and early September.
- Term: Positive performance in June and July, with occupancy consistently above 60%; bookings remain stable until the first week of August, with a slight dip around Ferragosto and a recovery towards September.
To complete the picture, provisional figures on regional visitor flows for the first five months of the year (January–May) show a 5% increase in arrivals and a 7% rise in overnight stays compared with 2025.
