With just a few days to go until 15 August, the picture paints a picture of a robust and attractive destination, with occupancy rates exceeding 80% both on Lake Garda and in Verona’s historic centre.
The key points emerging from the data analysis
- Lake Garda Average occupancy stands at’83,8% for the nights of 14 and 15 August (with the lower lake reaching 84.7% at an average rate of €214.1). For the night of 15 August alone, the figure rises to 84%, with estimates dated by Federalberghi Garda Veneto president Ivan De Beni, who hypothesise the achievement of’85-90%.
- City of Verona: In the capital municipality, over eight out of ten rooms are already occupied (80,3% occupancy rates, with an average rate of €204.60 for 14–15 August, and the 81% on the night of 15 August alone), confirming the city’s continued appeal even during periods of extreme heat.
- Province and growth potential: Outside the provincial capital, the province stands at 68.1% (average fare of €93.8), highlighting scope for improvement in terms of a more even distribution of passenger flows across the whole territory.
- Demand trends: The Ferragosto period sees a strong recovery in the Italian tourist market, which goes alongside the constant and solid presence of foreign visitors (in particular from Germany, Northern Europe and the United Kingdom).
