The Open Air sector is still growing, and the data proves it: +9 pp compared to 2023.
Over the Easter weekend, some campsites are already open, and almost all will open by 25th April.
Analysis carried out using HBenchmark – a monitoring and analysis system also used by the Veneto Region – shows that, in Chioggia, the majority of tourists are Italian (approx. 65%), in contrast to other destinations where foreign tourism predominates (see Cavallino, where 60% consists of foreign visitors).
Among the foreign nationals, there are Germans on the 25% service and, on the 10% service, a mix of Swiss, Austrians, Dutch and tourists from Eastern European countries.
The difference between Chioggia and Cavallino is also evident in the choice of accommodation: in Chioggia, the occupancy rate for mobile homes stands at 65%, whilst in Cavallino it is 75%; consequently, the average price also varies; for example, a pitch in Chioggia costs €38 per day, whilst in Cavallino it is almost double that.
