Press Review - 2024

Verona Garda Tourist Observatory: Fair and Festivals

The analysis carried out by HB for the DVG shows that Fieracavalli ended with an occupancy rate of 88.31% (TP3T).

Overall, October in Verona ended with an occupancy rate of 76.91% (+2.91 percentage points), whilst the municipality recorded an occupancy rate of over 80.1%. Accommodation facilities within the municipality also recorded their highest occupancy rate during the All Saints’ Day long weekend, reaching 86.11%.

Tourist flows in the Municipality from 31 October to 2 November 2024 were mainly Italian, followed by Germans, English, Americans and French. Growth in Brazilian tourists was also noted compared to the same period in 2023. As for the establishments located in the Province, in addition to Italians, there were Germans, Israelis, Chinese, Americans and English.

It is interesting to note how visitors staying in the city prefer to book online through OTAs, while those intending to stay in the province tend to still use offline channels (i.e. email, telephone, walk-in).

Lake Garda also registered positive data on the All Saints' Day long weekend.

In the Veneto side of Lake Garda, however, it emerges that in October intermediated bookings, via booking platforms or directly with the hotel, prevailed.

The All Saints’ Day long weekend saw an occupancy rate of 70.91%, with tourist numbers coming mainly from the domestic market, but also from Romania and Slovenia, which do not usually feature in the top 10. The average occupancy rate for October was 58.1%.
