Conference “Open Air Tourism in the Venice Lagoon and the Po Delta”

On 15 April, a conference dedicated to the future of outdoor tourism in the Venice Lagoon and Po Delta was held in Chioggia, organised by FAITA Federcamping and Cisa Camping.

Within the ‘Data for Decision-Making’ session, our CEO Francesco Traverso illustrated how Business Intelligence enables the transformation of information flows into strategic decision-making tools for territorial and business management.

HBenchmark data, updated to 9 April, indicates for the 2026 season an increase in average occupancy in the Upper Adriatic, which rises to 50.2% (compared to 49.5% on the same date in 2025).

The analysis delved into the dynamics of three main territorial clusters:

  • Cavallino-Treporti: confirms itself as a driving force with acquired employment reaching 58.1%, consolidating its leadership in the sector.
  • Chioggia-Sottomarina: registered the most significant increase (+9.6%), with an already acquired occupancy rising from 27.2%to 36.8%, driven by a strong prevalence of Italian tourists (75%).
  • Comacchio: has an acquired occupancy of 35%with a balanced international mix between Italy (36.9%), Germany (32.7% ), Switzerland and the Netherlands.

    In all the clusters examined, the average length of stay acquired in the May-September period stands at 10 nights.
