Veneto: 2026 summer budget and outlook for autumn in HBenchmark data for the OTFR

The analysis published by the Federation of Regional Tourism Observatories of Veneto (OTRF) outlines a positive outlook for the regional tourism system, highlighted by the prestigious inclusion of Veneto among the 25 international destinations in the “Best in Travel 2027” guide by Lonely Planet.

To track the sector’s performance, the Observatory relies on a network of authoritative sources, including HBenchmark, alongside ISTAT, Data Appeal Mabrian and Mastercard.

Here are the main findings of the HBenchmark Data Intelligence report:

  • Employment by cluster (June-September): The Mare e Lago campsites are performing well, with an average occupancy rate exceeding 80%.’83% for both sectors and the summer peaks respectively of 95% and of the’89,6%. In hotels, despite a slight decline for the Art Cities and seaside destinations, there is an increase in popularity for Lake and Mountains.
  • Growth in September: Accommodation facilities are experiencing an increase in occupancy rates compared to the previous year, driven by mild temperatures that are driving demand towards Città d’Arte, Mare and Montagna.
  • Outlook for the autumn (October-December): The employment already acquired for the month of October is close to the 70% in the accommodation facilities of Città d’Arte e Lago, ranking among the 50% and 60% for Sea, Thermal Baths and Mountains.

The data confirm the value of the surveys and predictive analyses provided by HBenchmark to support the understanding of market dynamics and the planning of Veneto destinations for the autumn and winter seasons.
