Positive start to the 2026 summer season on the Romagna Riviera according to HBenchmark data

The editorial team of La Repubblica has analysed the booking status for the summer 2026 season on the Romagna Riviera, selecting predictive data from the observatory HBenchmark as an official source for photographing market trends.

The analysis, which compares bookings acquired by 25 May 2026 with the same period last year, highlights a positive start to the season for the main Adriatic resorts, including Rimini, Cervia and Cattolica, decisively supported by large territorial events.

The data emerging from the observatory:

  • Rimini (May and June): Driven by events such as Rimini Wellness, occupancy rates for the 2 June bank holiday weekend reached peaks of 92% in 3-star hotels and 99% in 4-star hotels, representing an increase of 9 and 7.6 percentage points respectively compared with 2025. The trends for July and September are also positive (+6 percentage points compared with 2025).
  • Cervia: Stability at the start of summer, followed by a sharp upturn in August (employment rising from 40% to 47%) and September (from 27% to 34%).
  • Catholic Average performance growth of 5 percentage points over the five months considered, with significant increases in July and August.

Mention by a leading publication such as La Repubblica and the positive comment from the main local representatives of Federalberghi e Assohotel Confesercenti they confirm the strategic value of HBenchmark technology. In a tourism market characterised by increasingly narrow and flexible booking windows, access to granular, real-time data stands out as the true compass for Destination Management and hotel planning.
