On Tuesday, 3 February, the event “HBenchmark: What if your competitor is doing better than you?” was held at the Ascom Confcommercio headquarters in Cervia, an informative meeting useful for charting the course of local tourism towards 2026.
Following the success of the pilot project launched in 2025, the collaboration between HBenchmark and Fondazione Cervia In per il Turismo is evolving and officially opening up to all accommodation facilities in the area.

Why do the data change the rules of the game?

Thanks to the platform, hoteliers in Cervia can monitor the destination's performance in real-time, in an aggregated and anonymous way. The first data collected already show interesting trends: from occupancy peaks during major sporting events (such as Ironman, which is already recording excellent performance) to early booking trends for the summer, which have been steadily growing in recent weeks.

The value of the project lies in sharing: the more structures that participate, the more precise the benchmark becomes, allowing each entrepreneur to validate their strategic choices and the destination to remain competitive in a global market.
From today, the project is open to all operators who want to transform data into a competitive advantage.
